Acceptance of terms
By using this website, submitting an enquiry, or enrolling in any ScholarBridge programme, you ("Client") — including any parent, guardian, or individual acting on behalf of a student — agree to be bound by these Terms of Service in full. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you must not use this website or engage our services.
These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and ScholarBridge LLC with respect to the subject matter herein and supersede all prior representations, discussions, or agreements.
What ScholarBridge provides
ScholarBridge provides structured academic research mentorship programmes for students primarily aged 14-18. Services include one-to-one Research Scholar programmes (typically 8-12 weeks), Field Seminars, and Academic Essentials, as described on the ScholarBridge website at the time of enrolment. The specific programme, duration, session structure, and deliverables are confirmed in the written programme agreement issued before the start of each programme.
ScholarBridge reserves the right to modify programme content, session formats, scheduling arrangements, and programme structure at any time. Modifications that materially reduce the total number of agreed sessions will be addressed through a session credit rather than a refund.
What ScholarBridge does not provide
ScholarBridge does not provide, and makes no representation regarding:
- Guaranteed university admission or any assurance of admissions outcomes at any institution
- Ghostwriting, essay drafting, personal statement writing, or any academic work produced on behalf of the student
- Guaranteed publication of student work in any journal, platform, or outlet
- Official academic qualifications, accredited certification, or recognised credentials of any kind
- Counselling, therapeutic support, or any service outside the scope of academic research mentorship
All work submitted to universities, schools, competitions, or academic institutions must be the student's own. Mentors guide, question, and advise. They do not produce work for students.
Enquiries, applications, and enrolment
Submitting an enquiry or application form does not constitute enrolment or create a binding agreement. A programme is confirmed only once (a) ScholarBridge has issued a written programme agreement specifying the programme type, duration, and fee, and (b) the Client has confirmed acceptance in writing and full payment has been received.
ScholarBridge reserves the right to decline any application at its sole discretion, including applications from students we assess as unsuitable for our programmes.
Fees and payment
Programme fees are communicated directly and confirmed in writing before any payment is requested. Payment in full is due before the first session begins. Fees are not collected through this website. No sessions will be scheduled or conducted until payment has cleared in full.
Where a programme is not started within 60 days of payment due to the Client's scheduling or circumstances, ScholarBridge may apply an administration fee of up to 10% of the programme fee before crediting the remainder toward a rescheduled start date.
Cancellation and refund policy
Cancellation within 72 hours of payment: A full refund will be issued if written cancellation is received by ScholarBridge within 72 hours of the payment being processed, provided that no sessions have yet taken place. This window allows families to cancel if circumstances change immediately after enrolment.
After the 72-hour window, all fees are non-refundable. Once 72 hours have elapsed from the time of payment — or once any session has taken place, whichever is earlier — no refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to:
- A decision by the student or family to withdraw from the programme
- Dissatisfaction with a mentor, session, or programme outcome
- Change in the student's circumstances, school schedule, academic interests, or university plans
- Illness, travel, examinations, or other commitments that prevent attendance at scheduled sessions
- Technical difficulties experienced by the student or family
- Failure to attend or engage with scheduled sessions
- Early withdrawal from the programme for any reason
Session rescheduling: Sessions cancelled by the student or family with at least 24 hours' notice may be rescheduled subject to mentor availability. A maximum of two sessions per programme may be rescheduled in this way. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are forfeited with no rescheduling or credit. Rescheduled sessions do not extend the programme period beyond 4 weeks past the original end date.
The only additional exceptions to this policy are set out in the Programme termination by ScholarBridge section below.
Programme termination by ScholarBridge
ScholarBridge reserves the right to terminate a programme at any time for any of the following reasons:
- Mentor unavailability: If a confirmed mentor becomes permanently unavailable and ScholarBridge is unable to identify a suitable replacement within 21 days, ScholarBridge will offer either (a) a session credit for unused sessions, applied toward a future programme, or (b) a partial refund equal to the pro-rated value of sessions not yet completed. This is the sole circumstance in which any refund or credit will be provided.
- Misconduct: If a programme is terminated due to misconduct by the student or family — including abusive or threatening communication, academic dishonesty committed using ScholarBridge materials or time, breach of these terms, or behaviour that ScholarBridge reasonably determines to be harmful — no refund or session credit will be provided for any sessions, whether completed or not.
- Non-engagement: If a student fails to attend three or more consecutive scheduled sessions without prior notice, ScholarBridge may treat the programme as abandoned and close it. No refund will be issued.
Student obligations
The student enrolled in a ScholarBridge programme agrees to:
- Attend all scheduled sessions on time and prepared, having completed any pre-session tasks assigned by the mentor
- Engage in sessions in good faith and contribute meaningfully to their own research project
- Treat their mentor with respect and professionalism at all times
- Communicate session cancellations or rescheduling requests to ScholarBridge — not directly to the mentor — with at least 24 hours' notice
- Use the programme exclusively for legitimate academic learning and research exploration
- Not record sessions without the prior written consent of ScholarBridge and the mentor
- Not share, distribute, or publish any programme materials, mentor contact details, or session content without ScholarBridge's prior written consent
Students under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian who has reviewed and accepted these terms on their behalf before enrolment. By completing enrolment, the parent or guardian confirms they have done so and take responsibility for the student's compliance with these terms.
Academic integrity
ScholarBridge operates on a strict academic integrity policy. Mentors support students in developing their own thinking, research, and writing. They do not produce work for students, and students must not submit any ScholarBridge-associated work to universities, schools, or other institutions as anything other than their own independently produced output.
Any use of ScholarBridge mentorship to facilitate academic dishonesty — including submitting mentor-drafted or AI-generated content as the student's own work — is a material breach of these terms and grounds for immediate programme termination without refund.
Conduct and communication
All communications between students, parents or guardians, and ScholarBridge staff or mentors must remain professional and respectful. Abusive, threatening, or harassing communication will result in immediate programme termination without refund.
Direct contact between students and mentors outside of scheduled sessions and ScholarBridge-managed channels is not permitted. Mentors' personal contact details must not be solicited or shared. Any attempt to engage a ScholarBridge mentor privately outside the programme, or to engage the same mentor for services outside ScholarBridge within 12 months of programme completion, is a breach of these terms.
ScholarBridge may monitor and log communications conducted through its platforms for safeguarding and quality assurance purposes.
Intellectual property
All website content, programme materials, frameworks, methodologies, and structural documents created by ScholarBridge are the intellectual property of ScholarBridge LLC and may not be reproduced, copied, or distributed without prior written permission.
Student work produced independently during the programme (research papers, essays, projects) remains the intellectual property of the student. ScholarBridge may request the student's permission to use anonymised excerpts of student work for marketing, case study, or educational purposes. Such use will only proceed with explicit written consent from the student and their parent or guardian.
Force majeure
ScholarBridge shall not be in breach of these terms, nor liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations, where that failure or delay arises from causes beyond ScholarBridge's reasonable control. Such causes include but are not limited to: acts of God, pandemic, epidemic or public health emergency, natural disaster, war, civil unrest, government action or regulation, widespread internet or infrastructure outage, platform failure outside ScholarBridge's control, or the serious illness or incapacity of a mentor.
In such circumstances, ScholarBridge will make reasonable efforts to reschedule affected sessions within a reasonable timeframe. If ScholarBridge determines that it is unable to resume the programme within 30 days of a force majeure event, it will offer a session credit for the remaining unused sessions, valid for 12 months. No cash refund will be issued in connection with a force majeure event.
For the avoidance of doubt, a force majeure event does not entitle the Client to cancel the programme or claim a refund. It suspends ScholarBridge's obligations for the duration of the event and restores them once the event has passed or an alternative arrangement has been agreed.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ScholarBridge LLC, its directors, employees, contractors, and mentors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of this website, your enrolment in a programme, or any outcome of mentorship, including but not limited to university admissions decisions, academic results, or career outcomes.
ScholarBridge's total aggregate liability to any Client for any claim arising under or in connection with these terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by that Client for the specific programme to which the claim relates.
This website and its contents are provided in good faith and on an "as is" basis. We make no warranty, express or implied, as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose.
Data and privacy
ScholarBridge collects and processes personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By enrolling in a programme, you consent to the collection and use of personal data as described in that policy, including data shared with matched mentors for the purposes of delivering the programme.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms shall first be addressed through good-faith written correspondence to [email protected]. If a dispute is not resolved within 30 days of that correspondence, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
Nothing in this clause limits ScholarBridge's right to seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction where necessary to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.
Changes to these terms
ScholarBridge may update these terms at any time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. For clients mid-programme, the terms in effect at the time of enrolment confirmation govern that programme. Continued use of this website after any revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed from the remainder of these terms, which shall continue in full force and effect.
