Veritas AI alternative: how certain are you about the subject?
Veritas does artificial intelligence and nothing else. That is an advantage if AI is settled, and a constraint if the student is still working out what they care about.

Fundamentals of AI taught by researchers and practitioners, building a real-world project in groups of three to five students.

AI Trailblazers
A middle school programme, which is unusual in this market and useful if a younger sibling is the one who is interested.
What it does well
- Specialisation is real. A provider that only does AI can build a curriculum around it rather than assembling one per student, and the applied Deep Dive tracks in medicine and finance are a sensible way to make an AI project connect to something a student already cares about.
- The named mentors hold doctorates from Yale, Stanford and Oxford, which is a credible bench for the subject.
- A middle school track is genuinely uncommon. Most providers in this market will not take students below about fourteen.
- For a student who is already certain that AI is their direction, a specialist is usually a better fit than a generalist.
Where we differ
Certainty about the subject is the deciding factor
Veritas is the stronger option for a student who already knows AI is the thing. It is the weaker option for a student who thinks they might like AI, because the programme cannot follow them if the answer turns out to be neuroscience, economics or law. Our matching starts after the direction is settled, which is what the consultation is partly for.
Group work and one-to-one are different experiences
AI Scholars runs in groups of three to five. Group projects teach collaboration and they also make it harder for an interviewer to work out which part was yours. The AI Fellowship is one-to-one, so if authorship matters to you, that is the track to compare against ours rather than AI Scholars.
What an AI project has to overcome
Machine learning projects are common in competitive applications now, which raises the bar for what counts as distinctive. A model trained on a public dataset is no longer unusual. The projects that still stand out ask a question about a specific domain, which is why the Deep Dive tracks are the more interesting part of what Veritas offers.
Neither of us publishes a price
Veritas does not publish a figure and neither do we, because scope varies by student. The difference we would point to is that we confirm the fee in writing at the consultation before any payment is requested, and there is no obligation after that call.
When each makes sense
Veritas may fit better when
- The student is already certain about AI or machine learning.
- They want a taught curriculum rather than a self-directed question.
- An applied AI and medicine or AI and finance angle fits their target course.
- The student is at middle school age and few other providers will take them.
ScholarBridge may fit better when
- The subject is anything other than AI, or is not settled yet.
- The student wants sole authorship of the output.
- They are applying through UCAS, where the project must map onto one course.
- The right answer might be that no programme is needed yet, and they want to be told that.

How much does Veritas AI cost?
Veritas does not publish a price on its own site, so we will not quote one. Ask directly, and ask specifically whether AI Scholars and the AI Fellowship are priced differently, since one is a group programme and the other is one-to-one. Checked 29 July 2026.
Is an AI project still impressive on an application?
Less automatically than it was. Machine learning projects are now common in competitive applications, so a model trained on a public dataset does not distinguish an applicant on its own. What still works is a question rooted in a specific domain, which is why applied tracks that pair AI with medicine or finance tend to produce more interesting work than general AI projects.
What is the difference between AI Scholars and the AI Fellowship?
Veritas describes AI Scholars as learning fundamentals and building a project in groups of three to five students, and the AI Fellowship as one-to-one mentorship to create a novel AI model. If you are comparing against a one-to-one programme like ours, the Fellowship is the fair comparison rather than AI Scholars.
Does ScholarBridge do AI projects?
Yes, through our technology and AI field, matched with a mentor working in that area. What we do not have is a dedicated AI curriculum, because we match by field across every discipline rather than specialising in one. If AI is settled and a taught structure is what you want, a specialist has a real advantage there.
Does either improve admission chances?
Neither can claim that, and you should be sceptical of any provider that does. Admissions decisions depend on grades, tests, references, interviews and the applicant pool in a given year.
